Attorneys Who Claim They “Fight Hard For Your Rights” Are Misguided

Conflict can be incredibly disruptive. It can cause stress, decrease productivity, and damage relationships. Fortunately, there are ways to manage conflict and create solutions that are beneficial for everyone involved. Here’s how the attorneys at The Donaldson Law Firm, PLLC, represent our clients to achieve their legal goals.

Assess the Situation

The first step towards creating a win-win solution is to assess the situation objectively. We analyze what each party wants, what led to the conflict in the first place, and whether any of those needs or desires are being met at present. This gives us and our clients a better understanding of what needs to change in order to create a win-win (or what we call a fair-fair) solution.

Brainstorm Solutions

Once we have identified what needs to change, it’s time to brainstorm some solutions. We work with our clients to think outside of the box about creative solutions that could lead both parties to a resolution. We try to avoid getting stuck on one idea: instead, we come up with as many possible solutions as we can before deciding which one is best.

Implement Solutions

The next step is to put a plan into action. This may mean having a conversation with those involved in order to explain our proposed solutions or it could mean making changes that need approval from higher ups. Either way, we make sure everyone understands exactly how this new solution will work before moving forward with implementation.

Creating fair-fair solutions can be difficult but it's worth taking the time and effort necessary to find them, as they often result in better outcomes for all involved parties than just fighting over who gets their way. By assessing the situation objectively, brainstorming creative solutions and implementing them correctly, we can create a better environment with improved outcomes—and that’s something worth striving for!
